It is with great sadness that we have to announce that Cherhill Cricket Club, due to the loss of its home for nearly 30 years, will no longer exist. With a view to keeping the core team together and continuing into the future, Cherhill C.C. will be absorbed into Avebury C.C. and become Avebury 2nds. This was approved at the Avebury AGM on Friday 24th February after meetings between representatives of the two clubs. Thanks to Dom & all at Avebury for making us so welcome. For 2017 we (Avebury 2nds) will be playing our home matches at Kennet Valley Hall in Lockeridge. Cherhill C.C. would like to thank everybody for the messages of support since we announced the sale of the ground and also for the many memories from fixtures over the years. The Facebook page will remain open in memory of the club, the ground and, most importantly, the people so if anyone has pictures or memories to share please feel free to post them. We look forward to seeing you in the coming seasons albeit under a new flag.
